Problems using Internet Explorer 10
Over the last few weeks there have been reports of people having problems accessing the BCDC Web Site.
In trooubleshooting the problem, apparently Microsoft has made some changes to Internet Explorer 10 that result in web sites not working or displaying correctly. For more information you can read the articles at the links below.
To provide some quick information to help solve the problem here are a couple of things you can do:
- Press the "F12" key on your keyboard and the screen should show a section at the bottom of your IE 10 screen (It is labeled Developer Tools).
On the menu bar in this new section of the screen, you will see an item "Browser Mode: IE 10".
Click on that menu item and a dropdown submenu should appear.
Select Internet Explorer 9.
The menu item should now show Internet Explorer 9.
Click on the "X" all the way to the right to close this section.
The BCDC Web Site should now display correctly.
- An application known as "Sendori" apparently makes some changes to Internet Explorer 10 that affect browsing in General.
Most people do not even know they have this application, and from what I have been able to ascertain, the techies are not sure where it came from either. Uninstalling this application by going to the Control Panel, then selecting "Programs and Features" and selecting "Sendori" and selecting the Remove button will uninstall this application.
