Novice / Attention I (Competition Obedience Class)

Class Begins on April 19, 2012 and Ends on June 7, 2012

This Class Meets on Thursday for 8 weeks (See Comments for Exceptions)

Class Starts at: 6:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM

Maximum Number of Students for this Class: 8

Prerequisites:

Dogs should be over 5 months of age. No prior training is required. Dogs may be coming from Puppy Kindergarten class.

Description:

This is a competition obedience class. This class will teach the foundation skills for the AKC Novice exercises (to obtain a Companion Dog and#150; CD title). Attention, some limited heeling, sits and downs, sit/wait with attention, stand for exam, recall games, and stays will be covered. Class will be fun and motivational with games and attention work to build a solid relationship with your dog. This class is also useful for dogs starting out in agility. This is the first in a series of three classes that will teach all of the novice exercises in a step-by-step approach.

Notes:

All class registration fees must be paid prior to attendance of the first session of class. Unpaid registrations will result in the registree losing their place in class and if there is a waiting list for that class the next person on the waiting list will be awarded the seat.

Bayshore Companion Dog Club reserves the right to cancel any classes that do not meet minimum attendance requirements.
